Google, Facebook consider buying Twitter
This is bad. Apparently Google & Facebook are both considering buying out Twitter.
This first thing that came to mind was privacy. Everybody with a Google account knows that their history with privacy is poor through Google Buzz. Also, everybody knows that Facebook is just so open, assuming you have not touched your Privacy Settings.
As a user of Twitter. I do not want Google, nor Facebook to buyout Twitter. Having said that, it’s eventually going to be bought out. I would prefer Google to buyout Twitter over Facebook. I cannot see Facebook using Twitter to it’s potential as they already have a ‘Status Update’ service. Google, is already using Twitter as their ‘Real Time’ Google Search Results as an option. So, Google buying out Twitter would make sense. I think.
So whoever ends up getting the deal, it’s going to set them back around $8 Million – $10 Million.
